Uncle Larry’s Recovery Address

Dude I am soooo Rueter’s!

Kate files this audio report.

She repeats the address likes she’s the radio officer on a big ole Navy ship. I’ll condense the phonetic spellings :)

“It’s 11:45 on Wednesday night [East Coast time]. My father is out of recovery and has just gotten into his room where my mother will be staying with him until he is discharged. His phone number at Beth Israel Hospital is 617-754-3618. The address here is 1 Deaconess Road, Clinical Center, 6th Floor, Room 618, Boston MA 02215. Thank you!”

If this was sooo Reuters, then the report would have been highly cynical, going into great depth on the need to remove healthy tissue and explaining in breathless detail the long, painful and drawn-out rehab. Nevermind that the patient was a superb physical specimen with a highly optimistic and positive mindset (not surprising), and that the surgeons were very pleased.

What an answer to prayer!! I had to laugh at the comment “superb physical specimen”. Do we all have to go through this type of thing to be described like that! Medical people are so feelings oriented! Anyway,I can’t wait for Larry to wake up and discover the wonderful news. This all just reminds me so much that life is so fragile. I’m starting to teach a Time Management course tonight through our church. There is a verse in Psalms that says–As for the days of our life, they contain 70 years, or if due strength, 80 years…So teach us to number our days, that we may present to Thee a heart of wisdom. Take care–Love–Rita

Absolutely fabulous news. Will keep the prayers going for a speedy recovery for the “specimen.”

Falmouth Road Race is Aug 14…that still gives you over 3 months to train!
