Mac OS X print queue trick

This is the coolest Mac thing I've ever stumbled on. I always have printing problems. Today my problem is that the closest printer is on the fritz. Unfortunately I had a bunch of things in the queue and needed them printed out. They are sitting there, but the printer won't respond to my laptop. Well, I found out that you can drag the items in the queue to a different printer. Just open printer setup. Double click on the two printers in question so that you can see the jobs waiting to be printed and the empty queue of the alternative printer. Then drag the waiting jobs to the printer that you want to move them to. Viola' problem solved. |
